How are Facebook Pages different from Profiles?

A Facebook Page (or Page), also known as a Facebook Business Page, is the business equivalent of a personal profile on Facebook.

With Pages, you can advertise your business, post content, interact with customers, and grow your audience.

How are Pages different from Profiles?

  • A profile is what we all know as a Facebook account, which we (individuals) use to share and connect with our friends and family.
  • Pages are for businesses, creators, organizations, and public figures to connect with their customers and fans.

Pages are separate entities from your individual (personal) profile. There are no logins or accounts for Pages. Instead, they are managed by individuals.

To manage a Page as an admin, you must first log in to your Facebook account and then switch into a Page to manage it.
