Overview of possible errors pre- and post connection, and what to do about them

This page gives an overview of possible errors that can occur when a client attempts to give access to Leadsie. 

While errors are rare (<5%), they can occur in different circumstances, especially for Facebook. Found an error that is not documented or need help? Get in touch using the chat box or via email.

1) Before granting connection (Select Assets Page)

Platform Error Message What to Do
Facebook & Google You have not given full permissions and may experience some errors when connecting.  It appears you have not given the Leadsie app all permissions that we require. We can only share the assets if you give our Facebook/Google application all these permissions. Remember that we will never make any changes without your explicit permission, and you can revoke the access of our application anytime after granting access.To solve this problem, hit disconnect at the top, then log in again.
Facebook You need to enable 2 Factor Authentication on your account to share [name of your assets] In order to share  ad accounts in particular, Facebook requires enabling 2-Factor authentication. You can activate it here
Facebook You don't have permissions to share [name of assets]. Please either get Manage permissions or share this access link with an admin of the asset / Please either get promoted to admin or share this access link with an admin of the business You don’t have admin rights for the Facebook assets you’re attempting to share. Please obtain these permissions or share the link with an admin.
Facebook (Instagram or Pixel) You must select an Ad Account from the business that owns [Instagram Account or Pixel) Leadsie shares your Instagram/Pixel access by connecting it to an ad account. The ad account you selected is not part of the business manager that the Instagram or Pixel you’ve selected belong to. The ad account must be part of the same business manager. 
Google Analytics You need to have MANAGE permission of Google Account in order to share it You don’t have sufficient permissions to the Google Analytics account you’re trying to share. Please obtain “manage” (admin) privileges in order to share access.
Google Ads You need to be an Admin of Google Account in order to share it You don’t have sufficient permissions to the Google Ads account you’re trying to share. Please obtain admin privileges in order to share access.

2) After granting access (Access sharing failed)

Platform Error Message How to Fix
Facebook You can't use this feature in Business Manager until you verify the email you entered when creating this business account. If you didn’t receive a verification email, you can request a new one in Business Settings under Business Info. You need to verify your email with Facebook. If you didn't receive the verification email or are experiencing problems you can request a new verification email from Facebook in your business settings, at the bottom of the page.
Facebook You're no longer allowed to use Facebook Products to advertise. You can't run ads, manage advertising assets or create new ad or business accounts. Learn More This means your account is restricted, HOWEVER in most cases you simply have to enable 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) in order to solve this problem. You can set it up here.
Facebook Unsupported post request. Object with ID XXX does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permissions, or does not support this operation. Please read the Graph API documentation at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api There might be a temporary issue with the Facebook API, so please try to give permissions again. Go to this link: https://app.leadsie.io/reset After resetting, go to your access link again, log in with Facebook and grant all permissions requested.If the error persists, please check if you’ve got full admin rights for the assets that you’re trying to share.
Facebook Application does not have permission for this action It appears that you haven't given our Facebook application the required permissions, either generally or for the particular business an asset is part of that you’re trying to share.Please remove the Leadsie application by visiting this link: https://app.leadsie.io/reset After resetting, go to your access link again, log in with Facebook and grant all permissions requested.
Facebook An error occurred while processing this request. Please try again later. There might be a temporary issue with the Facebook API, but meanwhile please try to give permissions again. Go to this link: https://app.leadsie.io/reset After resetting, go to your access link again, log in with Facebook and grant all permissions requested.If the error persists, please check if you’ve got full admin rights for the assets that you’re trying to share.
Facebook (#10) only business admin can share pixel to account In order to connect the pixel to the ad account you’re sharing, you need to be an admin of the business manager that owns the pixel. Please get full admin permissions for the pixel.

(#200) Permissions errorOr(#200) Requires business_management permission to manage the object

(#100) Object does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permission or reviewable feature, or does not support this operation. This endpoint requires the 'pages_read_engagement' permission or the 'Page Public Content Access' feature or the 'Page Public Metadata Access' feature.

It appears that you haven't given our Facebook application the required permissions, either generally or for the particular business an asset is part of that you’re trying to share.Please remove the Leadsie application by visiting this link: https://app.leadsie.io/reset After resetting, go to your access link again, log in with Facebook and grant all permissions requested.
Facebook Error validating access token or Error validating access token: The session has been invalidated because the user changed their password or Facebook has changed the session for security reasons. It appears that you haven't given our Facebook application the required permissions or the access has expired. Please log in again. If this does not work, you can remove the Leadsie application by visiting this link: https://app.leadsie.io/reset After resetting, go to your access link again, log in with Facebook and grant all permissions requested.
Facebook You cannot access the app till you log in Facebook requires you to make a change or verification in your account. Please go to Facebook.com and log in.
Google My Business The caller does not have permission undefined It looks like you don't have sufficient permissions to share access to this Google My Business account. Please share the Leadsie access link with someone who has admin permissions or obtain admin rights for the location you’re trying to share.
Google Analytics / Ads Insufficient Permission It looks like you don't have sufficient permissions to share access to this Google account. Please share the Leadsie access link with someone who has admin permissions or obtain admin rights.
Google Ads Bad Request This error usually indicates that access could not be shared with the email address of your agency because the agency’s email domain has not been added to the list of approved domains. Try to give access again and follow the instructions given to add the domain to your list of allowed domains.
Google Ads Request contains an invalid argument. Client is already linked to too many managers. Your Google Ad account is already connected to many manager accounts. Please remove some manager accounts in order to initiate this connection. Go to your Google Ads Access settings to do that.
Google Ads Request contains an invalid argument. Email address doesn't conform to the email domain policy. Please see https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/2375456 Access could not be shared with the email address of your agency because the agency’s email domain has not been added to the list of approved domains. Try to give access again and follow the instructions given to add the domain to your list of allowed domains.
