How to set a Primary Page for your Meta Business Portfolio

If you’ve tried to add a client’s Page or Facebook Ad account to your Business Portfolio but can’t, all you need to do is set a Primary Page first.

This is the fix for the error message: “Your business needs a Primary Page to request access to Pages, ad accounts, and other assets that belong to another business.

How to set a Primary Page for your Business Portfolio

Step 1: Go to Settings in Meta Business Suite.

Step 2: Click on Business portfolio info (near the top).

Step 3: To the right of your portfolio name, business ID, and current primary Page, click Edit.

Step 4: Type in the name of your Facebook Page.

Alternatively, open your Facebook Page in a separate tab or browser window, then copy and paste the URL into the pop-up.

Step 5: Click Save.

Now, you can use your Business Portfolio to request access to other Pages and Ad accounts!
