How to set a Primary Page for your Meta Business Portfolio
If you’ve tried to add a client’s Page or Facebook Ad account to your Business Portfolio but can’t, all you need to do is set a Primary Page first.
This is the fix for the error message: “Your business needs a Primary Page to request access to Pages, ad accounts, and other assets that belong to another business.
How to set a Primary Page for your Business Portfolio
Step 1: Go to Settings in Meta Business Suite.
Step 2: Click on Business portfolio info (near the top).
Step 3: To the right of your portfolio name, business ID, and current primary Page, click Edit.
Step 4: Type in the name of your Facebook Page.
Alternatively, open your Facebook Page in a separate tab or browser window, then copy and paste the URL into the pop-up.
Step 5: Click Save.
Now, you can use your Business Portfolio to request access to other Pages and Ad accounts!
