Send Leadsie notifications to Slack

What you'll get: Every new Leadsie access update lands straight in your Slack channel as a message.

How it works (quick concept)

Slack can generate a unique email address for any channel (or DM). Add that address as a recipient in your Leadsie notification settings, and Slack will post those emails in the channel.

Note: Creating a channel/DM email address is only available on Slack paid plans.


Step 1 — Get your channel’s email address in Slack

  1. On desktop, open the target channel in Slack.
  2. Click the channel name in the header to open the channel settings.
  3. Click on the 'Automations' tab.
  4. Select Send emails to this channel and click Get email address.
  5. Copy the address (optional: customize the name/icon so it’s recognizable in the channel).

Step 2 — Add the address in Leadsie

  1. In Leadsie, open Standard Request settings or edit the specific Custom Request.
  2. Find the Notifications section (where you list email recipients).
  3. Paste the Slack channel email address alongside your usual recipients.
  4. Click Save.

FAQs

Can we post to a private channel?

Yes—if the channel exists in your workspace and you’ve created its email address. Keep the address private inside your team.

Who can create channel email addresses?

By default, anyone in the conversation can create one; anyone with the address can email the channel. Workspace owners/admins can restrict this.

What about formatting?

Slack posts the email’s subject and body (subject to workspace limits). There's currently no way to change the formatting of Leadsie emails, but get in touch if you have suggestions!

Troubleshooting

  • Don’t see “Send emails to this channel”? Check that your workspace is on a paid plan and that incoming emails haven’t been disabled by an admin.
  • Message didn’t appear in Slack? Make sure you pasted the exact channel email in Leadsie and that the address hasn’t been regenerated.
