How to connect Leadsie with Zapier

Leadsie has a native Zapier integration, so you can connect Leadsie to 8,000+ apps (Slack, Google Sheets, HubSpot, Airtable, Notion, Gmail, and more) without writing any code or hosting a webhook yourself.

Why would I want to use Zapier?

You can use the Zapier connection to automatically:

  • Get a Slack or email alert when a client grants access
  • Add new Leadsie clients to your CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Go High Level, etc.)
  • Log every connection to a Google Sheet or Airtable base
  • Kick off onboarding sequences in your email tool when a new client connects
  • Enrich other workflows by looking up Leadsie client data on demand

Before you start

You'll need:

  • A Leadsie account with Zapier enabled on your plan (Agency and above, or Standard and above for whitelisting plans)
  • A Zapier account — a free plan is available to work with the Leadsie connection

Setup

Open Zapier and either create a new Zap or open an existing one.

Quick setup with Copilot

You can use the Copilot tool to set the Zap up with a prompt such as "Send me a Slack message when I get a new Leadsie connection":

The setup wizard will then prompt you to authenticate with Leadsie and with whichever service you're connecting it to. If the AI doesn't succeed in creating the Zap as you wanted, you can also set it up manually as described below.

Step-by-step manual Zap setup

Or create it manually as follows.

  1. First, set up Leadsie as the Trigger:

  1. Click Trigger then search for 'leadsie' in the selector:

  1. Set Trigger event to Client Connection Completed, then under Account click Change:

  1. You'll see an authorisation pop-up. Go ahead and Connect then Authorize to connect Zapier to your Leadsie account:

  1. Once connected, continue with Test trigger then Continue with selected record:

  1. Zapier now prompts you to select what Action it should take when a new connection is detected. The example here sends a Slack message, but you can connect it to whichever workflow you need.

  1. Depending on your chosen output channel, configure the output as needed. In text fields such as Message Text you can normally hit / to choose a field to insert into the message, such as Client Name and/or Client Summary URL.

We recommend using only the Connection Summary Text (or Connection Summary Html) as the output for the message text as a nice preformatted summary.

Ensure you have data format v2 in your  Webhooks & API settings page:

  1. You can now test your new Zap, or skip the test:

  1. And then Publish your Zap to set it live:

Congratulations, you now have a working Zap connected to Leadsie!

More advanced Zaps

The instructions above will trigger an action of your choice whenever you receive a new connection through Leadsie. More sophisticated Zaps are also supported: see How to connect Leadsie with Zapier: advanced options for suggestions, help and advice.

Example: Slack alert when a client grants access

  1. Trigger: Leadsie → New Connection Completed
  2. Action: Slack → Send Channel Message
  3. Drop the client name and request name into the message as follows. For the wildcards, you need to type / and then select the correct field from the list.

/Client Name   just completed your Leadsie request /Request Name   ! Details: /Client Summary URL

  1. Test and Publish the Zap.

Example: Auto-add new clients to HubSpot

  1. Trigger: Leadsie → New Connection Completed
  2. Action: HubSpot → Create or Update Contact
  3. Map /Client Email    and /Client Name    to the HubSpot fields.
  4. Every new Leadsie client now lands in your CRM automatically.

Coming soon

Write-back actions (creating requests, marking clients complete, triggering offboarding) aren't in the Zapier app yet. They're on the roadmap — if there's a specific action you need, let us know.

Prefer to build directly against the API?

Zapier covers most use cases, but if you need something beyond what's in the app, the Leadsie public API is available with the same OAuth credentials. See the [Leadsie API documentation](https://help.leadsie.com/article/126-leadsie-api) for details.

Troubleshooting

  • My Zap isn't firing — the trigger only fires on a successful connection completion. If the client abandons the flow, nothing is sent.
  • I'm missing a field — re-test the trigger in Zapier's editor to pull a fresh sample from your most recent connection. Older samples may predate newer fields. If you're looking for the summary fields, make sure you're using data format v2 in Webhook settings.
  • I can't see Leadsie in Zapier's app list — search "Leadsie" exactly. If your Zapier workspace restricts apps, ask your admin to allow it.
  • Authorization failed — you must be on the Agency/Standard Plan or above. Check your Billing page to upgrade.
